Chinese New Year Celebration!
Location: Barone Campus Center, Lower Level
The Offices of Student Engagement and Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs is happy to announce the celebration of Chinese New Year on Friday, February 1st at 7-9 p.m.
Chinese New Year celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. The festival is usually referred to as the Spring Festival in modern China, and is one of several Lunar New Years in Asia.
This event is co-hosted by the Asian Student Association and the Chinese Graduate Student Association. It features wonderful performances such as the Lion Dance performed by Ju Long Wu Shu, an Ancient Chinese Fashion Show, delicious food, including dumplings, noodles, mooncakes and other Chinese snacks and pastries. There will also be a tag sale for
Ancient Chinese clothes - as presented by the fashion models - and accessories.
The event is free and open to the public.
