2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation, Feb. 9

Fairfield University will host award-winning speaker Karsonya “Kaye” Wise Whitehead, PhD, to deliver the 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation Lecture on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. Her scholarship examines the ways race, class, and gender coalesce in American classrooms and political and social environments. Dr. Whitehead’s scholarship in activism, race, and African American history, and her work in journalism have garnered national attention and awards.
