African American Connecticut Explored

Come celebrate the 10th anniversary of African American Connecticut Explored. This ground-breaking book won a Connecticut League of History Organizations Award of Merit in 2014, is currently featured in the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History’s “Connecticut’s Bookshelf” exhibit, and is used in schools all over Connecticut.

A panel discussion with editors Elizabeth Normen and Frank Mitchell and other distinguished scholars will examine the many facets of African-descended people in Connecticut.

The event is free and open to the public.

Refreshments will be served.
