The CAE and the Office of Online Learning invite all full-time and part-time faculty to join us for a showcase of proven online teaching practices at the panel presentation Navigating the Digital Classroom: Innovative Online Teaching Strategies. This Zoom-based session will take place on Thursday, April 18, from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m., and will feature five faculty colleagues each demonstrating one of  their own proven methods for engaging students in the asynchronous online teaching space. Join Karen Burrows (Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies), Adam Rugg (College of Arts & Sciences), Christine Rodriguez (College of Arts & Sciences), Suzanne Marmo (School of Education & Human Development), and Anthony Santella (Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies) for a wide ranging set of creative ideas and approaches, facilitated by Associate Vice Provost and CAE Director Jay Rozgonyi. You’ll see a range of easy-to-master tech tools employed to bring Fairfield’s recognized style of highly personalized and deeply engaged teaching to online learning. Whether you’re an experienced online instructor looking for new ideas, someone who’s never jumped into online teaching because you’re not sure how to do it, or just someone who isn’t sure you can create community and connection in the online setting, you’re welcome to join us and see how rewarding and enjoyable asynchronous teaching can be.
