Black Stags Matter Walk

Date: 04-17-2024

Time: 01:30 PM

Location: Beginning at Stag Statue

FUSA has unapologetically stated on numerous occasions that Black Lives Matter and that our Black Stags Matter. To continue to foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environment for members of our campus community, we vigorously support those who have been marginalized and those who feel their voices for cultural change on campus are not being heard.

We invite the Fairfield University community to walk alongside our faculty, staff, and students of color, in the 3rd Annual Black Stags Matter Walk. At 1:30pm, we will meet to begin the walk at the Stag Statue. We will be giving out T-shirts, pins, bracelets, flags, and more at each stop. Please view the map on FUSA & Campus Ministry social media pages to join us at a specific location at any particular time.

Join us after for a concluding reception and debrief on the Chapel Plaza. Let us continue celebrating our unity.

If you are unable to attend the walk, we kindly ask for everyone to wear all black on the 17th to stand in solidarity with our campus community of color.

Thank you to the Fairfield University Archives and Special Collections for the archival material we will be using during our walk.
