Global Fairfield Updates: Florence

As our Fall 2024 semester begins, we will be sending out updates on our programs abroad, with introductions to the special people who support our students around the world as well as highlights of the custom academic programs we have developed with our colleagues from across the Fairfield campus.

Meet our Florence Team

Joanne Maddux - After 22 years as our Program Director in Florence Joanne is moving on to establish her own business in counseling services.  We are so indebted to Joanne for all that she has done to lead our Florence Program over the past years.  She has been an invaluable Fairfield employee and we wish her every success.

Lorenzo Paolini - Director in Florence.  Lorenzo began with the Florence office in 2016 and, after a brief hiatus, has returned to take the role of Director.  We are very pleased to have him back on the team and look forward to his dynamic leadership in the coming years.

Silvia Casanova – Office Manager.  Silvia started with the Florence office in 2011 and has kept our financial and administrative processes in order ever since.

Ciara Cox – Study Abroad Advisor. Ciara has been with the Florence office since 2018 and provides advising support to our students and partners.

Giulia Ricciardi – Housing and Student Life Coordinator.  Giulia joined the Florence office in 2022 and keeps a firm hand on managing our many properties and apartments.
