Campus Food Pantry
Location: Campus Ministry
It's hard to study if you are hungry!
According to Hunger on Campus, 50% of community college students and 47% of students at 4-year institutions report food insecurity at some point during their degree. We can help!
If you know a student struggling with food insecurity, please let them know about the Campus Food Pantry, located on the lower level of Egan Chapel and open to all students. The food pantry has an assortment of canned food, other dry goods, and toiletries for students at risk of hunger. Through a generous grant from Stop & Shop, we also have gift cards for students to purchase perishables and fresh fruits and vegetables. We also have a ‘secret shopper’ program for students who would rather pick up items they request to reduce the stigma around hunger. I meet with each student to connect them with other resources they may be eligible for individually. Don't hesitate to contact me at kbyrnes@fairfield.edu or 203-254-4000 x2901 with any questions so we can be sure no Stag goes hungry!
