Do you have a Story to tell? We need you!

Location: DiMenna-Nyselius Library

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are invited to sign-up to be a "Storyteller" at Stags Share Stories: Conversations That Connect Us which will take place on Wed. 11/20 both in person at the DiMenna-Nyselius Library and on Zoom. Storytellers will talk to other Stags one-on-one about their life experiences that address stereotypes, prejudices, or misconceptions about their identity. Ex: race, religion, class, gender, sexuality, mental health, lifestyle choices, taboo topics, etc.

Sign-up to be a Storyteller by 10/18. Upon filling out the form, a committee member from the Library or SDMA will contact you to talk through your submission and answer any questions. Training materials are also provided. https://fairfield.libwizard.com/f/sss-2024-signup

Interested in just attending the event this year? Information will be shared in the coming weeks as well as a list of Storytellers that you can speak to.  Faculty often promote this event to students for extra credit or create an assignment in collaboration with a librarian.

Hosted by the DiMenna-Nyselius Library and Office of Student Diversity & Multicultural Affairs. Inspired by past Human Library events, our campus community will connect with each other to promote a culture of understanding, empathy, and appreciation of our diverse community, where deep and challenging conversations are welcomed, respected, and valued.
