Location: Online (Zoom) https://Fairfield.zoom.us/j/884555786?pwd=U3lvemIxMjVVZHB5VFBKRGszeUJBZz09

Our Business Model Workshop is open to all students. This fun, hands-on workshop will teach you how to take your idea and build a clear business plan around it. No prior experience needed—just your creativity and curiosity! Learn the essentials of creating a business model, and get ready to bring your vision to life.

If you have a business idea or interested in joining the Fairfield Startup Showcase, the Business Model Essentials Workshop is for students interested in competing in the Showcase. It’s also a great event for those just interested in learning more about entrepreneurship. Attendees will learn the fundamentals of how to build a successful business plan, network with mentors and potential team members, and learn the next steps on how to compete in this “Shark Tank” style competition for real startup funding.

Topics covered:
  • The questions one needs to ask before writing a business plan
  • How an idea translates into a sustainable business
  • What priorities does a company need to address continually as it grows and evolves
  • The target audience is people who have a product or service in mind but don’t know how to frame it for investors
This event will be held virtually over Zoom and registration is required on Life@Fairfield. Questions? Contact: cpalaia@fairfield.edu

About Fairfield StartUp
Fairfield StartUp is a year-long entrepreneurship competition where students create, develop and pitch their own business ideas!

The program concludes with the Fairfield StartUp Showcase; a “Shark Tank” style entrepreneurship competition. Student’s get the opportunity to negotiate live with investors for seed money to start their business. $30K was awarded last year!

Students participating in StartUp work alongside alumni and local business mentors throughout the year to hone their business ideas and pitch presentations skills for the final showcase in April. Interested in competing? Join us at a Fairfield StartUp Event where you will learn how to launch your own business and compete for seed funding!
