Transforming qualitative data into quality Research: NVivo for Beginners

"Data" isn't just numbers. In fact, most of the data we encounter daily comes in the form of text, images, audio, and video. Dr. Kimberly Barba from the Faculty of Mathematics discovered the power of NVivo, a leading qualitative research program, to analyze non-quantitative data and gain insights into student learning. In this workshop, Dr. Barba will share why she embraced a humanities-centered approach in her field, her experiences with the learning curve, and how she creatively harnessed NVivo's robust features to organize, analyze, and present her data.
