CAE and Global Fairfield offer "Developing a Faculty Led Program" Workshops

The Center for Academic Excellence invites faculty interested in leading a faculty-led program abroad to join one of two Zoom sessions Developing a Faculty Led Program Abroad which will be led by Global Fairfield’s Associate Director, Patricia Pivarnik, Global Fairfield's Faculty Liasion and Associate Professor Dr. Alfred Babo, Dr. Sally Gerard and Dr. Eileen O'Shea. A faculty-led program abroad is a terrific way to take your course “on the road" while using the location to enhance learning. Dr. Gerard and O'Shea recently lead sucessful faculty led programs in Ireland and Italy and will share their first-hand experiences. 


 This workshop will review:

    • the timeline for submitting a course proposal
    • tips for developing a successful program
    • health and safety measures
    • the process of launching a program
    • what "personal style” is best for being a Faculty Leader

All first-time faculty-led program faculty are required to have attended a “Developing a Faculty-Led Program Abroad” session.
