Workday Student Update from the Provost and SVP
Dear Fairfield Community,
We are thrilled to share our first update on our Workday Student Fall 2025 go-live journey before we break for the holidays. Workday Student will launch in March 2025 to support advising for the Fall 2025 semester providing significant improvements that will enable us to better support the success of our students. Expect to hear more from us and the project team in the new year. The project team will be sharing a website with training dates and times, FAQs, and additional information via Fairfield Today.
This transformational project represents a leap forward for our student information system, offering:
- Enhanced Process Workflows: Streamlined workflows to simplify administrative tasks for students, faculty, and staff.
- Automation of Routine Processes: Automated processes to reduce manual efforts, allowing more time to focus on what truly matters—student success.
- Improved User Experience: A more intuitive, user-friendly interface designed to meet the diverse needs of our university community.
- Modernized Infrastructure: A state-of-the-art system built to grow with us, ensuring we remain at the forefront of higher education technology.
Workday Student will be our centralized hub for course registration, academic records, advising, degree audit, and more. We are confident these enhancements will empower you with better tools, faster service, and a seamless experience.
Over the coming months, the project team will prepare you to transition smoothly to Workday Student. In January, we will begin offering our first round of training for those scheduling our Fall 2025 academic classes. A detailed training schedule will be available on the website outlining additional training topics, including advising, registration, and general navigation. Your continued engagement and feedback will be invaluable as we prepare for this exciting change.
We appreciate your support as we work together to make this transition successful. Please reach out to us or our Workday Student Program Manager, Kristine Sunda, with any questions or suggestions.
Here’s to a bright future with a system designed for progress and continued excellence!
Warm Regards,
Christine Siegel,
