Kaltura Playback Error

This message is to inform you of a potential issue with video playback in some courses.

Kaltura videos embedded in Blackboard courses prior to Summer 2024 reference a video player that was officially retired over the weekend.  While ITS proactively updated the player during Summer 2024 after learning about this upcoming change, we discovered over the weekend that videos copied from these prior semesters are also referencing the old player. These videos load as a blank white page rather than playing the video.

We are currently working with Kaltura support to investigate potential solutions to this issue.
In the meantime, to ensure uninterrupted access to course videos, If you are experiencing this issue in your courses, please re-embed your videos for following the steps on our Wiki under Embedding Existing Kaltura Videos
