Mac OS Updates Required

To ensure the security and optimal performance of your Apple computer, we kindly request you to complete the upcoming critical macOS updates. ITS will be sending out screen notifications to all mac users to perform these updates which include important fixes and improvements that will help protect your device and enhance its functionality.
What You Need to Know:
- A screen will appear on your device prompting you to update your macOS. This update is necessary to maintain a secure and efficient system.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate and complete the update process

For macOS Sequoia (Latest Version):
You are receiving this message because this computer has critical updates pending.
- Save your work and connect your computer to power
- Open System Settings → General → Software Update and select "Update Now."
For macOS Ventura or Sonoma (Not Latest Version):
You are receiving this message because this computer has critical updates pending.
- Save your work and back up your data.
- Connect your computer to power.
- Open System Settings → General → Software Update.
You have two options:
- Select "Upgrade Now" to install the latest macOS (RECOMMENDED).
- Click "More Info…" under the "Also Available" section to update your current macOS version.
For macOS Monterey or Older (End of Life):
You are receiving this message because this computer is running a macOS version no longer supported by Apple or the University. For security reasons, it must be updated to the latest macOS your computer supports by May 31, 2025.
- Save your work and back up your data.
- Connect your computer to power.
- Open System Preferences → Software Update and follow the prompts to update
