Career & Internship Fair Scheduled for Wed., Feb. 12!

The University Career Center is hosting two career fairs this semester! Career Fairs are an effective way for students to network with professionals from various industries, explore career options, and learn about internships and job opportunities.
- The Spring Career & Internship Fair will be held on Wed., Feb. 12 from 12-3 p.m. in the RecPlex.
- The Education & Human Development Fair will be held on Mon., March 24 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Oak Room.
Please encourage students to attend and share the following tips:
Before the fair…
- Career Counselors and Career Peer Advisors (CPAs) can assist students with setting up Handshake profiles, developing resumes, tips for networking, and much more! Students can e-mail their career center to schedule an appointment with a career counselor or just drop in during scheduled hours (posted on Life@) to meet with trained CPAs.

- Attend workshops for tips on navigating a fair. Students can check Life@Fairfield for the schedule.
- Complete student profiles in Handshake and upload a current resume.
- Stop by the University Career Center to print resumes and get a Linkedin photo.
- Plan to wear business casual/professional attire. Students can visit the Career Closet to browse the wide selection of outfits available.
- Visit the events in Handshake to research registered employers, prepare questions to ask recruiters, and download the Handshake app.
On the day of the fair…
- Bring a folder/padfolio to carry resumes and notepad.
- Bring their StagCard to swipe in. Name badges will automatically print.
- Stop by the 'Ask An Advisor' table for guidance from helpful career counselors.
- Get a Linkedin photo at the photo booth.
- Collect business cards or recruiter information to follow up with them after the fair.
