On April 3 & 4, the acclaimed Chilean-Palestinian author and scholar, Lina Meruane, will visit our campus to present part of her extensive work on literature, identities, diaspora, illness, and the female body. 

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to a book club gathering to discuss her novel, Seeing Red (2012), prior to the author's campus visit. This brief and intense novel is a mixture of memoir and fiction, taking place between New York and Santiago de Chile, where the reader dives into the mind of a writer who has just lost her vision in a country that is not her own.
