Phishing Alert: Watch Out for Fake Emails!

Many of you recently received a suspicious email resembling one from Human Resources. Here's how to spot these scams:

• Check the "From:" Address: Even if it says, "Human Resources," the actual email address matters. This one came from "@industrialpowertools.co.uk" - not a Fairfield University (@fairfield.edu) address.

• Heed the Warnings: The "Report Suspicious" button and "This message came from a sender outside the University" are red flags to take extra scrutiny with the email.

• Crucial Action: If you see any of these signs, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING and DO NOT RESPOND! Use the "Report Suspicious" button or contact the IT Help Desk by emailing ITSHelpDesk@fairfield.edu. Stay vigilant!
