Article 3: The International Travel Programs Review Committee (ITPRC)

The ITPRC was established in Fall of 2022 by the Office of the Provost.


The Committee consists of faculty and staff members whose portfolios include University sponsored international travel, risk management and/or crisis response and intervention for the University.  The Committee is chaired by the Associate Vice Provost for Global Strategy.

The Committee is responsible for:


  1.        reviewing University Sponsored International Travel Program Proposals for completeness, clarity, and compliance in accordance with the University International Travel Policy, the corresponding Procedures Manuals, and best practices in risk mitigation, 
  2.          preparing a report summarizing their findings for submission to the Designated Approver (Designated Approvers complete the review process for any necessary revisions and are responsible for approving or denying the proposed travel),
  3.            and recommending improvements to existing policy and procedures to Executive Leadership.


REPRESENTATION ON THE COMMITTEE:


The formation of the Review Committee consists of the following members:


·         Associate Director of Student Engagement


·         Director of Recreation and Wellness


·         Associate Director for Community-Engaged Learning/Center for Social Impact


·         Campus Minister for Justice and Immersions 


·         Associate Director of Global Fairfield


·         Sr. Associate Director of Athletics


·         Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations


·         Director of Public Safety or Designee


·         Fairfield Prep International Student Advisor 


The Committee typically meets the third Thursday of each month throughout the year to review submitted proposal, policies, and procedures.
