Transgender Day of Visibility: Celebrating Strength, Stories, and Solidarity
Location: BCC 100 - SDMA
Join us as we celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV), on March 31st and leading up to it, a day dedicated to honoring and uplifting transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals. Our events provide an opportunity for reflection, community-building, and education while affirming the resilience and contributions of trans people.

Point of Pride Letter Writing
Write letters of encouragement to trans individuals, whether it’s to a friend, a community member, or a future trans leader.
Letters will be shared with Point of Pride, an organization supporting trans individuals worldwide.

Trans Day of Visibility Celebration
An open mixer-style event featuring interactive stations where attendees can engage, learn, and connect:
Storytelling & Affirmation Letters – Share or read stories of trans resilience.
Gender Euphoria Art Station – Express yourself through creative artwork.
Trans History & Advocacy Table – Learn about trans history and current advocacy efforts.
Self-Care & Wellness Station – Take a moment for mindfulness, journaling, and self-affirmation.
Words Matter: Pronouns & Allyship Table – Show your support and learn about inclusive language.
Light refreshments will be available. Staff and volunteers will be present to engage and assist.

Community Celebration & Flag Raising
All are invited to take part in this larger community gathering featuring:
A trans flag-raising ceremony at 3:15 PM
- Entertainment, fellowship, and community resources
Want to participate in the "I Am Trans AND..." campaign?
Trans and gender-diverse students can create a sign completing the phrase (e.g., I am Trans AND a college student). Photos can be sent to bliss@ourtranslife.org for inclusion in the campaign.
How to Get Involved:
- Attend one or both TDOV celebrations
- Write letters to uplift and affirm the trans community
- Share your story in the "I Am Trans AND..." campaign
