2025 Humanities Seminar Student Fellows Presentations, April 8 at 4pm

The Humanities Institute is excited to be hosting the 2025 Ronald M. Davidson Humanities Seminar Student Fellows Presentations on Tuesday, April 8 at 4pm in the Kelley Center Presentation Room. The Student Fellows have been working for the full academic year on their innovative scholarly projects in the humanities and related disciplines under the mentorship of current Faculty Fellows. They will present overviews of their projects, followed by Q&A and fellowship. Please join us in supporting our student fellows and celebrating their accomplishments. Light refreshments will be served.
2024-2025 Student Fellows and project titles

- Max Limric ’25, “Lyric as Literature: Promoting the Agency of Multilingual Students Through Music” (mentored by Dr. Laura Gasca Jiménez)
- Brianna McAleer ’25, “Challenging Belief: Secularism in 18th Century England” (mentored by Dr. Nicholas Allred)
- Sidney Parker ’25, “Before the Movement: The Organization and Leadership of Black Women During the Early Civil Rights Movement” (mentored by Dr. Shannon King)
- Blessed Stephen '26, “Art Saves: Chicago’s Artists, Programs, and Personal Journeys” (mentored by Dr. Marice Rose)
We are also pleased to announce the new cohort of Student Fellows of the Humanities Seminar for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. Each Student Fellow will be mentored by a new group of Faculty Fellows, under whose mentorship the student completes an independent, advanced research project in one of the humanities disciplines. The students will also be guided by Seminar Chair and Humanities Institute Associate Director, Dr. Jennifer Adair. Please join us in congratulating them:
