Helping International Students Navigate DMV & Social Security Services

Global Fairfield is committed to supporting the transition and success of our international student population. One critical area of support involves assisting students with accessing essential government services, such as the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Social Security Administration (SSA).

For international students, applying for a Connecticut state ID, driver’s license, or Social Security Number (SSN) can be a complicated process. Global Fairfield helps ensure students understand the requirements and are prepared with the correct documentation.

DMV & Social Security Info Session – September 22 at 3pm
To help students navigate these services, Global Fairfield will host a dedicated DMV & Social Security Information Session on September 22, with additional sessions planned throughout the fall semester. These sessions will walk students through the application process, required documentation, and how to access these services locally.

Global Fairfield is located in DiMenna-Nyselius Library, Room 107. For questions, contact us at globalfairfield@fairfield.edu.

We are proud to assist our international students as they navigate these important steps in their U.S. experience.
