How to reserve free tickets for students

The Quick Center for the Arts is pleased to partner with faculty to ensure our programs are accessible and easily integrated into Fairfield University’s curriculum.

As part of our efforts to streamline attendance tracking for students attending events at the Quick, we have created a new process that will ensure students can still enjoy free tickets for required events and to ensure faculty have a way to capture student attendance.

Please review our new policies below regarding student ticketing. The Quick will now require that all free student tickets be reserved online or in person at least TWO DAYS prior to the event

CONFIRMATION OF TICKETS NEEDED

  • If you are a school/college/program requiring 50 or more students to attend an event at the Quick, please email quickboxoffice@fairfield.edu to set up the online system described under Claiming Tickets below.
  •  If you are requesting tickets for a singular class to attend, and the event is not part of a larger partnership with your college/school/program where tickets are already being held, we ask that professors email their class list to quickboxoffice@fairfield.edu. Students will then be able to visit the box office in person to claim their tickets.

CLAIMING TICKETS

  • The Quick will create a QR code that will direct students to the online ticketing web page for the required event, as well as the promo code students will need to enter to claim their free ticket.
  • The Quick will share the QR code and promo code with the college/school/program to share with their students.
  • If students have questions about ticketing, please advise them to either visit or call the box office at 203-254-4010 at least 24 hours prior to the event.

CHECKING ATTENDANCE

  • The Quick is now using a QR code attendance system. At the end of the lecture, a QR code will be displayed on screen or posted near the exits.
  • Students should use their phone to scan the QR code, which will direct them to an easy online form to confirm their attendance. This step is essential for receiving credit for attending the event, especially when participation is required or encouraged as part of your course, and takes less than one minute to fill out.
  • Please emphasize to your students that they must stay until the end of the event in order to access the QR code. This process allows us to capture accurate attendance data and ensures fairness across the student body.
  • This list will then be available by request from the Quick box office by faculty or the partnering program.

We are excited for a fruitful year of programming ahead as the university delves into America 250. Thank you for your continued partnership!
