Financial Planning for College Students and New Graduates is about teaching students and newly minted graduates' certain financial life skills that are not taught in college. In this one-hour seminar, topics such as saving for retirement, budgeting, as well as managing debt will be covered. Participants will be challenged to think how they can hit the ground running once they receive their degree and place themselves on sound financial footing. At Fairfield University, we know that we have bright students who make great professionals once they graduate, now we are trying to make them even more financially savvy by offering a real-world seminar that can provide them invaluable financial/life skills. Questions? Please email dolancareer@fairfield.edu. Fairfield University is committed to providing accessible and inclusive environments. If you require a disability related accommodation, please contact the Dolan Career Development Center at dolancareer@fairfield to make an accommodation request.

Students that attend this event will build their career readiness competencies by developing their critical thinking skills. Critical thinking is identifying and responding to needs based on an understanding of situational context and logical analysis of relevant information.
