Scholars in Focus

Giving you a glimpse into the exciting research of Fairfield University staff and faculty across all departments. For this event in the SIF series, Beth Boquet, Professor of English and Director of the Writing Center, will present "Mark My Words: Vocal Performance and a Life Lived in Letter" and Sarah Bollinger, Director of the Dolan Career Center, will present "Adapting to Change: How is Higher Education Preparing Students to be Workforce Ready?"

Quiet reading gathering, held every Wednesday, in a cozy space with coffee, tea, & snacks. No homework, no discussions, just silent leisure reading in the company of other Stags.

Publish More, Pay Less: Making the Most of Transformative Agruments

Curious about how you can publish open access without paying out of pocket? Join Scholarly Communication Librarian Matt Schirano for a seminar on transformative agreements—a new model in scholarly publishing. This session will cover:

  • What transformative agreements are, and why they matter in the shift toward open access.
  • Which agreements Fairfield University participates in and what they cover.
  • How you, as a faculty author, can take advantage of these agreements to publish your work openly and increase its visibility.
