Sudan’s World War: Complicity, Silence, and Solidarity
Wednesday, October 15 |   5:30 pm  Alumni House

FYE Event!

Sudan is facing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises: over 10 million displaced, widespread ethnic violence, and a looming famine starving over half a million people, yet it receives little global attention.

Join us for a lecture by Dr. Alden Young (Yale University), author of Transforming Sudan, as he explains how Sudan’s war became a “world war” involving regional and global powers, and what solidarity can look like in the face of silence.

Co-sponsored by Islamic World Studies, Humanitarian Action, International Studies, Sociology and Anthropology, Black Studies, and the Center for Social Impact.

Hope you can join us!
