Colleen Young: Chasing Greatness, High-Performance Athletics and Disability.

On Monday, October 20th, at 7 PM in the Oak Room, the Disability Awareness Committee and Club will host an event titled “Colleen Young: Chasing Greatness, High-Performance Athletics and Disability.” This event, featuring Fairfield alumna Colleen Young ‘20, offers a look into the intersecting worlds of disability and high-performance athletics. Young, a Paralympic medalist swimmer who has competed in four Games, will speak on the qualities of a high-performance athlete with a disability, such as leadership, self-advocacy, goal setting, and self-determination, in what promises to be an excellent learning experience for the Fairfield community.
