Collegium: A week-long summer introduction to Catholicism for Faculty
Date: 5-12, 2026e Jun
Location: University of Portland, Portland, Oregon
Collegium is a week-long program designed to introduce non-specialist college and university faculty – natural scientists, mathematicians, artists, professional school faculty in health care/business/engineering, social scientists – to the Catholic tradition.  This year it will be offered at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon from June 5-12, 2026.
This week-long experience is friendly and collegial, introducing faculty from a variety of disciplines – and with a variety of religious backgrounds, including none at all – to the big themes of the Catholic intellectual tradition.
Those who have attended Collegium value the perspective it offers, but the strongest part of the experience is networking with faculty from other colleges and universities – through shared meals, small group discussions, evening receptions – and a week away to reflect in a beautiful setting.
This experience, including travel, is fully funded, see the link below for details. Questions? Please contact Nancy Dallavalle, Director of Catholic Studies, at ndallavalle@fairfield.edu
