Nursing Student-Led Food Drive
Location: Suite 401 (collection site)
Nursing students from the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies, who are completing their Population Health clinical rotations, will be hosting an on-campus food drive. All donations received will benefit the Thomas Merton Family Center (TMFC) in Bridgeport.
TMFC provides guests with access to an on-site food pantry, as well as hot meals served daily for breakfast and lunch, and shower facilities. On any given day, approximately 300 guests are served hot meals, and on days when the food pantry is open, as many as 100 families utilize its services. As you can imagine, there is a tremendous need for food and travel-size toiletry items.
Collection boxes for the food drive will be located in Suite 401 in the Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies Building. The food drive will run through Monday, April 27.
