Join us for an engaging evening with Gina Barreca, acclaimed author, humorist, and cultural commentator, as part of the Philip I. Eliasoph Open VISIONS Forum: Espresso series. Known as a “feminist humor maven,” Barreca brings her signature wit and insight to a lively conversation exploring culture, identity, and storytelling. 

A prolific writer whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, and Harvard Business Review, Barreca is also a distinguished professor of English at the University of Connecticut. Her talk promises an entertaining and thought-provoking look at Italian American culture and the role of humor in shaping perspective.
