Last Chance: AI Showcase & Conversations Submissions

Date: 04-08-2026

Time: 03:30 PM

If the emergence of AI has affected the way you think about teaching or research, or students’ questions (or actions!) have caused you to consider how instruction and research are changing all around us, consider highlighting your responses in the Provost’s AI Showcase and Conversations event on April 8.
We will be gathering that day from 3:30 to 5 pm to showcase the innovative and intellectually rigorous ways in which Fairfield faculty are thinking about AI, discussing it with students, or implementing it in response to one of the most significant developments in higher education action in our lifetimes.
Our goal is not to promote a single approach to AI, but instead to make visible the range of thoughtful pedagogical reasoning that’s guiding how AI is framed within different disciplines and courses across the university.
We especially welcome examples of discipline-informed approaches that highlight:
  • Courses in which AI is integrated as a learning tool to support student development and professional preparation
  • Courses in which AI is permitted in specific contexts with clear parameters and guidance
  • Courses in which AI use is intentionally limited, grounded in clearly articulated disciplinary, pedagogical, or ethical reasoning
To apply, simply fill out the form at the link below by Monday, March 23. And then stop by on April 8th for wine, cheese, community, and a wealth of new ideas about AI!
