Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor broke barriers and advocated for women and children, the LGBTQ+ community, abuse victims, racial justice, and so many other causes. We reconsider her importance today, three years after her untimely death. BRENNA MOORE is Professor of Theology and the current Chair of the Department at Fordham University. A historian of modern Catholicism, Brenna's work explores spirituality, political resistance, and the global contours of modern Catholic life. She is the author of several books including Kindred Spirits: Friendship and Resistance at the Edges of Modern Catholicism. 

This webinar event will include commentary by Prof. Niall Brennan, Communications, Prof. Emily Orlando, English and WGSS, and Prof. Sonya Huber, English, editor of the book Nothing Compares to You: What Sinéad O’Connor Means to Us which will be available for purchase during this webinar event.
