Join the Politics Department in celebrating the book launch of Dr. Sean Kim Butorac’s book, Slave Rebellions and the Making of the Modern Prison.
What are the ghosts of slavery that still haunt American politics today? Dr. Butorac shows how slave rebellions shaped the ideas and institutions that gave way to our modern system of crime and punishment.
