Faculty Workshop: Inclusive Mentorship for Faculty Success

The Center of Academic Excellence and The Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging invite you to an interactive workshop on inclusive mentoring. Inclusive mentorship plays a critical role in supporting faculty development and success and in fostering a sense of belonging within academic communities. In this interactive workshop, led by Vernée Butterfield, PhD, participants will examine key elements of inclusive mentoring, including awareness of identity, bias, and power dynamics. Faculty will engage in small-group discussions of mentoring scenarios, with time to reflect, share experiences, and consider approaches that promote equity and inclusion in their mentoring relationships.
