Reminder - Campus Wide Power Shutdown

To the University Community:

This is a reminder that this year’s campus power shutdown is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st, 2026, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Please remember to shut down all sensitive office equipment (computers, printers, copiers) completely before leaving for the weekend. In the event of inclement weather, heavy rains, Hurricane ,or Power company  staffing emergency, the shutdown will occur on Sunday, August 2nd , for the same time period.  

 The shutdown will now affect most areas of campus; the following areas WILL NOT be affected during the shutdown:

Dolan Estate House on generator- Limited power ,no AC

Townhouse 12-7 only

Southwell Hall ( Koslow Center )

The Early Learning Center (Day Care Facility)

 

Also, for future planning purposes, here is the proposed schedule for the next three years:  

Saturday, August 7th, 2027 (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) Sun Aug 8th ,2027 Rain date

Saturday, August 5th, 2028 (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) Sun Aug 6th ,2028   Rain date

Saturday, August 4th, 2029 (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) Sun Aug 5th ,2029 Rain date
