The Fairfield University Art Museum will host a panel discussion titled “Cuba Today: Internet access, El Paquete, and the New Filmmakers,” on Friday February 7th from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Gonzaga Auditorium in Gonzaga Hall.

Discussion with Panelists: 1 – 2:15 p.m.
Panelists include:


      Javier Labrador Deulofeu, Cuban Filmmaker
Yaima Pardo, Cuban Filmmaker and Internet Activist
Julia Weist, Artist 


Coffee Break: 2:15 – 2:45 p.m.


Film Screening: 2:45 – 4 p.m.
“Selection of Cuban Live Actions Short Films”


Finally, the event will conclude with a Roundtable Conversation.


This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Archives of Consciousness: Six Cuban Artists, which is on view from January 24 – May 15, 2020 at the Walsh Gallery.
