Home Internet a challenge? ITS has compiled some current offerings to boost home internet service

Over the past week, ITS has received inquiries from faculty, staff and students who are facing challenges with home internet services.  Service within the internet market seems wide and varied, with a heavier demand placed on these services given the current situation with COVID-19.   Our home internet service may be more heavily strained with concurrent users as we compete for bandwidth in our new working/learning from home environment.

In response to the question of "what are cable companies offering?" or "how can I get free wifi?", ITS has shared a document, below, providing a compilation of known internet offerings. These offerings are subject to change, but hopefully this document is a good starting point.

The ITS team is here to help the Fairfield University community and support as needed to make the remote working/learning situation easier.  If you're experiencing home internet challenges, please click below to download the document listing Discounted Home Internet Service Offerings.
