Online Lecture: The Art of Black Mobilization

Date: 04-02-2020

Time: 05:00 PM

Due to our temporary closure, we can't host Dr. de La Fuente's lecture as we had planned, but we're not letting that stop us! You'll find a recording of "The Art of Black Mobilization: Afro-Latin American Artists, History and Racial Justice" on our website on Thursday, April 2.

We will be collecting YOUR questions for Dr. de la Fuente between April 2 and April 5, and posting the answers on our Facebook and Instagram accounts the following week. Watch the lecture on our "Watch and Listen" page and email your questions to museum@fairfield.edu!

Alejandro de la Fuente, PhD, the Robert Woods Bliss Professor of Latin American History and Economics and Professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University, will give a lecture titled “The Art of Black Mobilization: Afro-Latin American Artists, History and Racial Justice”.

This lecture is part of the Edwin L. Weisl, Jr. Lectureships in Art History, and is funded by the Robert Lehman Foundation. This lecture is presented in conjunction with “Archives of Consciousness: Six Cuban Artists”.
