IT Service Enhancement

Information Technology Services (ITS) is upgrading the University’s email filtering and protection solution in phases over the next 6+ months, with the first deployment – spam filtering – scheduled for Tuesday, July 9 at Noon ET.  This deployment will replace functionality provided by our current email protection solution.

This initial deployment will be transparent to faculty and staff, and no action is required on the part of users. Upon the transition to Proofpoint, our new solution provider, ITS will monitor the system to ensure all email is delivered as expected.

Phase 2 will be deployed this Fall with advanced features including personalized spam filtering, secure data transport for sensitive information, bulk email filtering with daily quarantine updates, and more. Details will be provided at that time.
