From Cuba to Fairfield University: A Selection of Short Films and Discussion with Luís Alejandro Yero

Luís Alejandro Yero, a Cuban filmmaker, received his degree in Journalism at the University of Havana and trained as a documentary director at the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV). His short films have been shown in several countries across Europe and Latin America; including Mexico, Spain, Brazil, and Cuba. He has participated at various festivals like IDFA, Jihlava, Mar del Plata, FICUNAM, Olhar de Cinema, Malaga, Documenta Madrid, among others.


Join us for a screening of Yero's short films and a talk with the filmaker on Monday, February 25, at 4 p.m. in the Multi-Media Auditorium of the DiMenna-Nyselius Library. The program will be in both Spanish and English. For more info contact Dr. Michelle Farrell mfarrell3@fairfield.edu
