This workshop, we will examine biblical texts describing Pharaoh’s cruel edicts against the Children of Israel, Moses as a leader and spokesman, the plagues, and the Exodus itself. We will ponder the narrative's historicity, its moral and theological messages, and its significance, past and present. Rabbinic commentary and source critical analysis will be discussed.

A light lunch will be served. RSVP by Monday, March 11 to Jennifer Haynos (jhaynos@fairfield.edu or x 2066)
