 Please join the Bennett Center for the Adolph and Ruth Schnurmacher Lecture in Judaic Studies, "People of the (Printed/Digital) Book: Printing and the Birth of the Jewish Bookshelf," featuring Joseph A. Skloot, PhD, Rabbi Aaron D. Panken Assistant Professor of Modern Jewish Intellectual History, HUC-JIR, New York City.

This talk will focus on the ways in which printing and the printing process changed pre-modern Jewish texts and readers' experiences of them. It will also explore the social world of the printing house and the implications of digitization for Jewish books and their readers.
