Students interested in learning more about entrepreneurial strategies and the StartUp culture are encouraged to attend! The Annual Kickoff Event will provide information about the Fairfield StartUp Program as well as presentations by mentors and past participants who will share their stories, business strategies and experiences in the field. The event will layout the 2020-2021 calendar of events for Fairfield StartUp and provide some advice to students interested in competing for a Showcase spot in April (this year's event will replicate the video pitch format)

About Fairfield StartUp

Fairfield StartUp is a year-long entrepreneurship competition where students create, develop and pitch their own business ideas!

The program concludes with the Fairfield StartUp Showcase; a “Shark Tank” style entrepreneurship competition. Student’s get the opportunity to negotiate live with investors for seed money to start their business. Students participating in StartUp work alongside alumni and local business mentors throughout the year to hone their business ideas and pitch presentations skills for the final showcase in April.
