Monday, October 19

La grande bellezza/The Great Beauty (Sorrentino, 2009)

Academy award winning drama about an aging journalist in present day Rome, a place of enchantment and licentiousness that resonates with Fellini’s 1960 La dolce vita. Come view the beauty and debauchery of the Eternal City.

Thursday October 22

Pane e tulipani/Bread and Tulips (Soldini, 2000)

Set in Venice, this tale of an underappreciated housewife who finds love amidst the canals, prompts us to consider the role of comedy to critique societal mores. This delightful romp celebrates the power of chivalric poetry and the captivating vistas of La Serenissima.

These events are open to all students, faculty and staff, limited to 50 people.  Masks and social distancing are required. Limited lawn chairs are available.
