Please join us for a talk with Dr. Joshua Shanes, Associate Professor of Jewish Studies & Director of the Center for Israel Studies at the College of Charleston, on a talk titled "A Growing Schism: Politics and Identity Among Orthodox and Non-Orthodox Jews."

Dr. Shanes' lecture will explore the emerging divergence in political identity between Orthodox and non-Orthodox Jews in the context of broader American trends — what Shanes calls the "evangelicalization of Orthodoxy," as well as the role of Jewish politics as a debate about the meaning of Jewishness itself.

The program is a free virtual webinar that is open to the public. For more information, contact the Bennett Center at bennettcenter@fairfield.edu or call (203) 254-4000, ext. 2066.
