 2019 Bennett Lecture in Judaic Studies “U.S. – Israel Relations during the Obama and Trump Administrations: An Inside Look” featuring Daniel Shapiro, U.S. Ambassador to Israel (2011 – 2017), Distinguished Visiting Fellow, Tel Aviv University’s Institute of National Security Studies. This lectureship will be held Tuesday, March 26, at 7:30 pm at the Quick Center for the Arts, Kelley Theatre.                                                          


In his lecture, Shapiro will draw on his eight years serving in the Obama Administration and his perspective from Israel on the Trump Administration. He will offer insights, challenge myths, and give a behind-the-scenes account of the Israeli-Palestinian talks, the fight over the Iran deal, and the many successes of US-Israel relations. Additionally, he will discuss the impact of the American Embassy moving to Jerusalem.
