Important Changes for Human Subjects Research

Ongoing education and training in research ethics by those conducting research with human subjects is an essential part of ensuring that the rights and safety of the research participants are protected. This is a reminder that effective September 1, 2019, for certain types of research, researchers submitting new IRB protocols will be required to offer evidence of appropriate education and training in research ethics for themselves and members of their research team.

See http://faculty.fairfield.edu/IRB/submitting-your-research-protocol.html for more information (under the "Preparing Protocols" tab, look for the section entitled "Additional Information and from there you will see a section on "Ethics Training for Human Subjects Research.")
