Advising Rising Residential College Sophomores

The Residential Colleges are a high-impact educational practice, in students' sophomore year, that integrate living and learning. To facilitate this integration, sophomores living in a Residential College agree to take one Residential College (RCOL) course each semester. Students who fail to register for a Residential College course may be removed from the program and reassigned housing.

Because of this requirement, rising Residential College sophomores will register online for their Residential College course on April 8

A complete list of RCOL courses can be found on the link below or by browsing the list of Fall 2019 courses and entering “RCOL” as the Attribute under Advanced Search.

During your advising session with rising sophomores, please ask if they are living in a Residential College and discuss their choice of RCOL course(s).

Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
