This post-screening virtual roundtable is part of our HI-funded Film Series, "Asian Cinema as World Cinema." 

 

If you have seen Chinese director Jia Zhangke’s 2018 drama, "Ash is Purest White," or plan to attend the screening of the film in Kelley Center at 5pm on 10/20, please join us on zoom later in the evening at 8pm for a roundtable discussion about the film and its director with our panel speakers, Dr. Michael Berry (UCLA); Dr. Mary Ann Carolan (Fairfield University); Dr. Ying Qian (Columbia University); and Dr. Jiwei Xiao (Fairfield University).
