GlobalProtect VPN upgrade – Wednesday 1/26/22 @ 6am

GlobalProtect VPN upgradeWednesday 1/26/22 starting at 6am

The reason for the outage: 

In order to bring our GlobalProtect VPN componentry up to current software security standards ITS will be applying new software to the VPN Servers.

The date and time of the shutdown: 

Software updates will commence at approximately 6:00am on Wednesday the 26th ..

All work is expected to be complete by 08:00am.

Services that will be down: 

GlobalProtect VPN access will be unavailable during the service window.

Services that will remain online:

Pulse VPN will be unaffected. All other data services will be unaffected by the upgrade work.

 If everything goes as planned:

Once work is complete, you should see a message to upgrade the GlobalProtect VPN client on your computer.

Who you should contact if you have concerns/questions:

After our updates are completed normal VPN Services will resume. If you find you are still unable to access Fairfield University Global Protect VPN, please contact the Fairfield ITS Helpdesk at itshelpdesk@fairfield.edu or by calling 203-254-4069.
