Attention all Faculty and Staff- Collaborative Community Resource Team wants your input!

Fairfield University has been awarded a federal grant from the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women, to prevent gender- based violence and offer comprehensive resources to survivors on campus.

We have formed a Collaborative Community Resource Team (CCRT) comprised of campus stakeholders and community partners to create and implement a comprehensive program. This group is committed to community safety for all and to a desire to support our students and live out our mission as people for and with others.

The CCRT is working to promote a healthy and safe campus culture, prevent incidents of gender-based violence and holistically support and empower those impacted.  Subcommittees have been established to review policy and reporting procedures, as well as training and prevention efforts. These committees are currently working to finalize goals and implement strategies.

As a Jesuit community of faith, we strive to care for and serve others.  Our mission states “Fairfield serves the wider community by educating its students to be socially aware and morally responsible persons.”  We aim to foster leaders who will influence the world with a sense of social responsibility and social justice. We want to empower our students to learn, grow and engage with the world around them to make a difference.  As a community, we all play a role in developing and sustaining this culture.

We welcome your input as a member of the Fairfield University community and invite you to join us in making this program a success. Please contact Pam Paulmann at 203.339.1307 or ppaulmann@fairfield.edu if you would like more information or to get involved.
